How to Calculate Pavers
Calculate area in square feet. Multiply by pavers per sq ft for your chosen size. Add waste percentage for cuts at edges. Also calculate base gravel (4" layer) and bedding sand (1" layer).

How many pavers do I need per square metre?
100 x 200 mm (4x8 in) bricks: about 50 per m² (4.5 per sq ft). 300 x 300 mm (12x12 in): 11 per m². 400 x 400 mm (16x16 in): 6 per m². Always add 5-10% for cuts at edges.
How much sand do I need under pavers?
Allow 25 mm (1 in) of bedding sand. For 10 m² (108 sq ft), that's about 0.25 m³ or roughly 400 kg of sand.
